October 30th Deadline Approaching For Maryland Tax Amnesty Program

The deadline is quickly approaching. Returns must be submitted with the Application for Tax Amnesty by Friday, October 30th. This will eliminate penalties for late filing (25% of the balance due) and penalties for late payments (25% of the balance due), and will reduce the amount of interest paid to 50% of the normal rate of approximately 13%. You will have until December 2016 to pay the amount due. There are certain qualifications, but for most people, this is a tremendous opportunity.
